![]() ![]() Perhaps a sentence could be added explaining what the "interface" is and how to tell if it's changed by an update. The end of the sticky refers to the "interface" which I suspect is the culprit here, but as someone who isn't familiar with the details of Steam's update mechanism or the on-disk game structure, I didn't understand that this might be the case. (This thread seemed like a good place to start because it was F4SE's start-up error message that first alerted me to the problem.) That update caught me by surprise and my game stopped working, but following the sticky's instructions (which are now a bit out-of-date btw) to the letter did not fix the problem, or help me understand what else I must do to recover, so I posted a note asking for additional help. In the spirit of improvement, I wonder respectfully if the (generally excellent) sticky post could be improved just a bit by adding a sentence or two about what to do if an update changes more than just the EXE like the 1.10.162 update did. You should now be able to use f4se with fallout 4, however, there are some things you should be aware of:Ī) If Fallout 4 - Interface was updated, the game may not work correctlyī) If a lot of fallout 4 files were updated, including interface, your mods may not work correctly
